How to apply the perfect bronzer

Choose foundation 2 or 3 shades darker than your natural skin tone. If using a liquid foundation, use a powder bronzer with a soft kabuki brush. Start with the forehead frame and go down keeping the color high. Lightly brush around the jaw line and make sure to apply it down the neck. Your neck is the palest part of your body.

To finish a bronzer look take a gold pigment and use it to add extra highlights to your face. This will give extra glow. Use a pointed brush or a liner brush on the inner eyes, top lip bow and under the brow bone’s edge, centre of the eye ball and top of the cheek bone.

Finish with a stained look lips, the same look of a little girl’s lip.

1.    Choose a bronzer 2-3 shades darker.

2.    If you use a powder bronzer apply it with a big, round brush

3.    Never overdo it or your skin will look unnatural and “dirty”

4.    Always apply the bronzer on areas where the sun usually hits

5.    When using a bronzer keep your makeup as simple as possible

Choose the right blush texture

Pressed Powder Blush

While powder blush used to offer a flat one-dimensional color that was hard to blend and looked unnatural, today’s powder blushers often contain several colors swirled or baked together. Pressed powder blush works great over liquid or mineral foundation and can work for all skin types.

Loose Mineral Blush

Offers the benefits of good for your skin minerals while adding luminosity to skin. Makeup Experts suggest mixing 2 colors to achieve a glow that best mimics a natural flush and added that using a bit of pink on top of a bronze shade really gives the most natural sun-kissed look. When going for the bronze look, do remember to brush a bit of blush along the jaw line, forehead and the bridge of your nose, places where the sun naturally kisses your skin.

Cream Blush

Can be perfect for dry skin and for those looking for a dewy fresh finish. The key here is to blend well to avoid a heavy look. The pinker/rosier the shade the better to stay on the apple of the cheeks or risk looking like a baked lobster.

Gel or Blush Tints

Are perfect for oily skin and great for use on bare skin. These formulas tend to dry quickly so you’ll have to blend quickly to avoid a blotchy stain, but when done correctly, your skin looks as if it is glowing from within.
